* First-time Attendees

Once again, we’ll have a special session in the morning for anyone who has never been to one of HNC’s Annual Meetings. Whether you’re new to the community or have just never experienced our Annual Meeting, we encourage you to join us from 8:30am-9:00am for the “First-time Attendee” session. You can grab your breakfast from the buffet and enjoy it with fellow first-timers.

If you are a first-time attendee, please indicate this on your registration application form. HNC will contact you about a hotel room for Friday night and about BP gas cards to help with your travel costs (these will be handed out during the session).

We’ll have a lot of great information that will help to make your first HNC Annual Meeting more meaningful!

You must register on or before April 16th in order to secure a hotel room.

* IMPORTANT: Changes to the HNC Bylaws will be presented to the membership for discussion.

The HNC Board is proposing a new bylaws structure that will help HNC continue to grow and better support its mission. The current bylaws were a good fit when HNC was a smaller organization, but HNC has grown substantially in the last decade. With that growth has come the need for more appropriate bylaws, including robust safeguards and accountability, and a move from a membership organization to a self-perpetuating board. The end goal, of course, is for HNC to best serve all people in North Carolina with bleeding disorders.

The complete proposed new bylaws, along with a side-by-side comparison with the existing bylaws, can be found here.
