Hotel Accommodations

NHF GROUP RATE:
Registrants are offered a group rate of $189 per night single/double occupancy plus applicable taxes.

DEADLINE:
The deadline to reserve a room under the NHF group rate is Friday, January 30th, 2015. This deadline is based on availability, so please book early. After the deadline, you may be subject to a higher room rate or possibly a sold out situation at the hotel.

Join NHF in DC and Tell Congress about Issues that Affect You

Registration for Washington Days 2015 is now open! NHF’s annual Washington Days will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 through Friday, February 27th, 2015.

This is your opportunity to join others from the bleeding disorders community in Washington, DC, to tell elected officials in Congress about the issues that affect you and your family.

The Issues

  • Funding for federal hemophilia programs
  • Access to skilled nursing facilities for Medicare beneficiaries

The NHF public policy team is working on a potential third issue that will be announced soon.

Tentative Agenda

  • Wednesday - We ask that attendees plan to arrive Wednesday afternoon, and depart Friday afternoon. The Washington Days program will begin with a first-time attendee workshop on Wednesday afternoon. Our interactive review of the fact sheets and talking points for all participants will take place Wednesday evening and will be followed by a Welcome Dinner Reception.
  • Thursday - On Thursday we hit the Hill for a full day of face-to-face meetings with members of Congress and their staff. Dinner on Thursday (sponsored by Novo Nordisk) will again be dedicated to celebrating the advocacy efforts of our volunteers in their local communities.
  • Friday - We close on Friday after the State Advocacy Workshop, a training program that explores state-specific issues and improves our effectiveness on the state level.
Raise Your Voice
National Youth Advocacy Summit
If you are in between the ages of 16 – 24, involved in your local chapter, interested in state and federal advocacy, and plan to attend the NHF’s 2015 Washington Days event, this program is for you!
