2019 HNC Adult Retreat
Hemophilia of North Carolina (HNC) invites you to the 2019 Adult Retreat from May 31-June 2 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Greensboro Airport in Greensboro, NC. There are some big changes to this year’s event from the past, as this year’s event combines the previously held Adult Retreat, Men’s Retreat, and SOAR Retreat, so please make sure to read all of the information below!
The Adult Retreat is open to all adults in the North Carolina bleeding disorders community, including men and women with a bleeding disorder along with partners or spouses, and parents of a child with a bleeding disorder. Each registrant may bring one guest. In addition to general education session for all attendees, there will also be a SOAR track (for women) and a Blood Brotherhood track (for men).
Sessions will begin on Saturday morning after breakfast and will conclude on Sunday at lunch. Session topics are still being finalized, but some of the confirmed sessions include Emerging Trends in Insurance, Bringing Home the Bacon, Intimacy, and Managing Stress and Improving Wellness. In addition, final details are being put into place to go to the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game on Saturday night (an optional activity).
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with other adults in the bleeding disorders community. Registration is required, and the registration deadline is Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Some things to know for the weekend include:
All accommodations, meals, refreshments, and activities will be provided free of charge to HNC members thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.
We expect all attendees to attend ALL PROGRAMS. This is a popular event, often with a waiting list of people who also wish to attend and benefit from this educational opportunity. Time is built into the agenda to enjoy the facility and surrounding area. If you do not believe that you will be able to make the commitment to attend all sessions, please do not register.
RSVP by Thursday, May 9, 2019. Registration is on a first-come first-served basis. Priority will be given to those affected by a bleeding disorder in the immediate family and who are not affiliated with a specialty pharmacy, home care, or pharmaceutical company that caters to the bleeding disorders community.
Please note, there will be no separate Men's Retreat or SOAR Retreat this year. We hope all men and women in the community will attend the Adult Retreat.
